The planning form

When you send the planning form, we receive what you typed: who is traveling, your dates and preferences, your budget, your description of the trip, and your name, email address, phone number, state or region and city. It is emailed to our team so that a travel advisor can reply. The website itself does not store it. Your phone number is used only to reach you about your request.

The form saves nothing while you fill it in. When you press send, a short-lived copy of what you typed is kept in your own browser's session storage, so that if the request cannot be sent you do not have to type it all again. That copy stays on your device. It is removed once your request goes through, and in any case when you close the tab.

The booking window

On every page, your browser opens a connection to widget.adventuro.com as the page loads, and loads a script from it once the page has settled or as soon as you first scroll, tap or press a key. The script is what lets the booking buttons open a window on top of this page instead of taking you to another site.

• When it loads, the script stores any campaign parameters from the page address (for example utm_source) in your browser's session storage, under adventuro_host_page_attribution. They are cleared when you close the tab.
• Bookings, gift vouchers and "My bookings" are handled inside that window by Adventuro, the booking platform. What you enter there, including payment details, goes to the platform and not to this website. We receive the booking details we need to run your journey.
• The platform may also set its own cookies or use other browser storage when the script loads or the window opens.

Page analytics

The site counts visits with its own script, and sets no cookies to do it. When a page opens, and when you press a booking or contact button, the script sends a short record to this site's own address, /_a. The record holds the page address in full (including anything after a question mark) and its title, the page you came from, and whether your screen is closer to a desktop, a tablet or a phone. Our server passes these records on to the booking platform's analytics service, together with your IP address and browser type.

To tell one visit from another, the script keeps a random visit ID and any campaign parameters from the page address (for example utm_source or gclid) in your browser's session storage, under adv_anon and adv_attr. Neither holds your name or contact details, and both are cleared when you close the tab.

Cookies and browser storage

The site's own code sets no cookies and loads no advertising scripts. Besides the items above, the home page keeps one note in your browser's session storage to say that its opening animation has played, so it does not repeat as you move around the site. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.

Films, WhatsApp and social links

Nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play on a film. When you do, the player loads from youtube-nocookie.com, and YouTube's own privacy policy applies from then on. Links to WhatsApp and to our social profiles take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Fonts and photographs

The fonts and photographs on this site are served from the site itself, not from a third party.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it, and which sends the planning form's email to our team. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies when its protection features need them.
