10 Day Guided Tour of Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fes and Marrakech
Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fes, Rabat and Marrakech make up this ten-day tour, which starts in Casablanca and ends in Marrakech. English-speaking local guides lead the visits, and private transfers cover the airport arrival and departure. The last full day in Marrakech is left open, with a choice of an Atlas Mountains day, an Agafay desert trip or a cooking class.
Itinerary
Day 1 is in Casablanca, followed by a high-speed train to Tangier on Day 2. Tangier takes two nights, with a day for its kasbah, medina and Cap Spartel, before the drive to Chefchaouen and on to Fes on Day 4.
Fes is explored over a full day, then Day 6 takes in Volubilis and Meknes with a winery lunch before the drive to Rabat. Day 7 covers the main sights of Rabat and ends in Marrakech, where Day 8 is a guided day and Day 9 is left open to design yourself, before the airport transfer on Day 10.
Location
This route follows an arc through northern and central Morocco. Tangier sits on the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean at Cap Spartel, and Chefchaouen lies in the Rif Mountains, known for the blue-washed walls of its old town.
Further south, Fes has a UNESCO-listed medieval medina, Volubilis preserves Roman mosaics near Meknes, and Rabat, the capital, has the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah. The tour ends in Marrakech, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, which the hotel sundowner on Day 7 looks towards.
Prerequisites
Nothing on this route calls for special skills. The pace is steady, with a mix of drives, a train ride and time on foot through medinas, kasbahs and archaeological sites.
Medina lanes in Tangier, Chefchaouen and Fes are narrow and winding, so comfortable shoes help. If anyone in your party has mobility needs, dietary requirements or a health condition, tell the team when you enquire so the days can be adapted.
Why Choose Us
English-speaking local guides lead each city visit, and entrance fees and taxes are included. Private transfers cover your arrival and departure, with a meet and greet at the airport.
Stays are at Fairmont, Palais Faraj and Park Hyatt hotels, and a team is on call around the clock. The final day in Marrakech is open, so you can shape it around the Atlas Mountains, the Agafay desert or a cooking class.
